How to Drive to Pebble Creek Ski Area

A short drive from Pocatello, you can take the old highway or the freeway to Inkom to access the ski hill. In recent years there has been a fair amount of construction on the freeway, at times closing off the exit to Inkom in which case guests would need to drive another 20 minutes round trip to get to the next exit and return. If this is the case, it is always good to check ahead of time and give your guests directions via the old highway which adds about 5 minutes to the drive.

The Best Time of Year to Get Married at Pebble Creek

Late spring/early summer is a beautiful time for a wedding at Pebble Creek for the wildflowers, hikes, and views. One aspect to consider during the summer months is the possibility of wildfires and smoke. Wildfires are an unfortunate reality during Idaho summers and even if wildfires are not particularly close, smoke can travel over many miles and impact both air quality and photography. Idaho summer days can also be hot and buggy. It’s a good idea to keep bug spray/citronella candles on hand for a summer wedding at Pebble Creek as well as well as hand-held fans and sunscreen for ceremonies or receptions in the sun. While it is hot during the day it can get cold at night so best to bring a layer for nighttime activities.

Hiring Your Pebble Creek Ski Area Wedding Photographer/Videographer

As an Idaho wedding and elopement photographer/videographer, I offer human-centered photo/video for couples who care more about connection than perfection with experiences rooted in comfort and presence. I value bringing couples a meaningful, thoughtfully crafted experience that celebrates the Idaho wilderness while telling their story through a blend of candid documentary and gently prompted photography and videography. As a photographer/videographer, I am greatly influenced by my experiences as a multifaceted human being and know that you are as well.

I was born and raised in Idaho and care deeply about protecting and celebrating the land and the community here. To me that means that I live by Leave No Trace practices to care for and protect the land and that I welcome and celebrate all forms of love. I want anyone who works with me to feel safe, cared for, and celebrated, regardless of where they come from or who they love. Additionally, I am bilingual and speak English and Spanish. I recognize the profound impact that the Latino community has had on Idaho, and I want all members of the bilingual and Spanish speaking community to feel welcome with me. These values impact every aspect of my work, and I am continuously seeking to grow so that I can better serve my community.

WHAT SERVICES I OFFER:

In addition to the values that guide my photography and videography, I have worked to bring clients wrap around services that don’t end at taking their picture. This includes:

Engagement Sessions

I include engagement sessions with every wedding and elopement package at no additional fee. I do this because I don’t want your first time in front of the camera to be when you’re walking down the aisle. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible so that on the day of your celebration you can relax and enjoy.

LOCATION SCOUTING AND GUIDANCE

I have spent the majority of my life in Idaho, exploring its mountains, lakes, and trails. This means I can offer a local perspective to many of the locations that we might venture together as well as the best venues to work with!

ELOPEMENT PLANNING

In traditional weddings, many couples will hire a wedding planner to help coordinate and direct their day. In an elopement, the photographer also fills that role. I like to help my couples every step of the way, from finding the right location, to planning activities, to choosing vendors. It brings me so much joy to help you bring your dream elopement to life.

ORDAINED OFFICIANT SERVICES

To legally marry in Idaho, you’ll need an ordained officiant. For elopements, I can offer the service in both English and Spanish. I do not offer the service for weddings. You can check that off your list :)

 VENDOR RECOMMENDATIONS

I love to be able to offer recommendations for other vendors who I know will serve their every need. If I have not worked with them myself, I will do the research to help make your life easier in choosing who will be working with you to craft your special celebration.

WHAT PACKAGES I OFFER

I offer wedding and elopement photography and videography packages ranging from half day and ceremony only to multi day experiences. Reach out to find out which package is right for you :)

For anyone looking for a relaxed outdoor atmosphere in the mountains with all the amenities both inside and outside, the ski area is a perfect match.

The most mentioned favorite aspect of having a wedding at Pebble Creek is the flexibility. Wedding parties have the opportunity to access the lodge and surrounding areas from the Thursday before the wedding, through the Sunday after. This allows for plenty of time to set up, decorate, hold the event, and clean up afterwards without feeling rushed. Another great thing about this venue is that it can easily accommodate inside and outside weddings should the weather change unexpectedly. Also, the views and sunsets are absolutely stunning.

What factors are important to consider when planning a wedding at Pebble Creek?

Some factors to consider are where on the mountain you would like to hold the ceremony and/or reception, where you would like to get some great photos, what time of day would be most ideal for the views and the sun, and take a look at weather forecasts to have an idea of a backup plan inside the lodge in case of inclement weather. Although there are no hookups and campfires aren't allowed, guests have permission to camp out in the parking lot. This provides a great place for out of town guests to gather.
